The Emerging Markets Product Control Group, within the Global Finance Department, is responsible for the P&L reporting (risk based) and all product-related control functions. The core responsibilities of the team are to ensure the integrity of trade population valuation and risk through the utilization of risk based P&L attribution.
This role will also be responsible for appropriate P/L reporting and the integrity of the balance sheet for EM Rates trades. Heavy interaction with PCG mgmt, Front Office, Risk and IT. This person will work closely with the business to gain a strong understanding of the positions, the rationale to execute, and estimated profitability.
P&L and Risk Reporting:
- Ensure proper model usage and bookings.
- Ensure accuracy of daily reported pnl and risk explains
- Tracking of the structure thru its life ( mtm / cash )
- Ensure proper representation on the balance sheet.
- Work with IT to develop automated off – system models where necessary.
- Perform ad-hoc and strategic enhancements
Trade Analysis:
- Review all new structured deal activity and its impact on firm’s P&L, Balance Sheet and risk profile.
- First contact to the Front Office with respect to representing controls on complex deals..
· Provide analysis on the business and market/trading trends
· Develop and maintain relation with the Front Office mgmt
· Implement and enhance financial and P&L controls in the group
· Interface with all other support areas for the group to cover accounting, credit, operational and market risk aspects of the business
